Our Team

Experienced investors, scientists, and operators united by a shared conviction in Europe's deep tech potential.

The People Behind the Portfolio

Our team brings together deep domain expertise across AI research, European venture markets, and operational company building.

Alexander Wilson, CEO of Hilberts AI Capital

Alexander Wilson

Chief Executive Officer

Alexander Wilson is Chief Executive Officer at Hilberts AI Capital, where he leads the firm's investment strategy and portfolio operations. He founded the firm in 2022 with the conviction that Europe's deep tech founders have been chronically underserved by the global venture capital ecosystem.

Prior to founding Hilberts AI Capital, Alexander spent over a decade in European technology investment, including senior roles at leading growth equity and venture firms across London and Berlin. He brings particular expertise in artificial intelligence, semiconductor technology, and enterprise software, having evaluated hundreds of early-stage opportunities across the continent.

His investment philosophy centers on backing founders who are solving problems that require genuine scientific and engineering depth — the kind of problems where a deep understanding of the underlying technology is itself a competitive advantage. Alexander holds degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from a leading European research university.

Finn Larsen, Managing Partner at Hilberts AI Capital

Finn Larsen

Managing Partner

Finn Larsen is Managing Partner at Hilberts AI Capital, responsible for leading the firm's investment activity across Northern and Eastern Europe. He joined as a founding partner, contributing over fifteen years of venture capital and operational experience to the team.

Before joining Hilberts AI Capital, Finn held principal and partner-level roles at Nordic venture funds, where he led investments in robotics, industrial AI, and clean energy technology. He has served on more than a dozen company boards and has particular experience guiding deep tech companies through the critical transition from research prototype to commercial product.

Finn is a strong believer in the transformative potential of Europe's engineering talent and has been an active voice in the European deep tech ecosystem through speaking engagements, LP advisory roles, and policy consultations. He holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from institutions in Copenhagen and London.

Elliot Sinclair, Venture Partner at Hilberts AI Capital

Elliot Sinclair

Venture Partner

Elliot Sinclair is Venture Partner at Hilberts AI Capital, where he focuses on investments in artificial intelligence, machine learning infrastructure, and quantum computing. He brings a unique blend of academic research experience and commercial investment expertise to the firm.

Prior to joining Hilberts AI Capital, Elliot was a researcher at a leading European AI laboratory and subsequently transitioned to venture investing, where he developed a track record of identifying technically differentiated opportunities at the pre-seed and seed stages. His academic background gives him the ability to evaluate research-stage companies with a level of technical depth that few generalist investors can match.

Elliot is particularly interested in the intersection of AI and scientific discovery — companies using machine learning to accelerate progress in materials science, drug discovery, and climate modelling. He holds a DPhil in Machine Learning from Oxford University and has published research in leading peer-reviewed journals.

What Drives Us

We are a small, high-conviction team. Here is what we believe and how we work.

Intellectual Curiosity

We are genuinely fascinated by the science underlying the companies we back. We read papers, attend conferences, and maintain deep relationships in the European research community.

Direct Communication

We tell founders what we think — clearly and respectfully. We believe honest, direct communication builds better companies and stronger relationships than diplomatic vagueness.

Long-Term Orientation

We build for decades, not quarters. Our fund structure, our portfolio construction, and our relationships with founders all reflect a fundamentally long-term perspective.

Work With Our Team

We are always interested in meeting exceptional deep tech founders and institutional investors who share our conviction in Europe's technological future.
