Hilberts AI Capital was founded in 2022 with a single conviction: Europe possesses the scientific talent and intellectual tradition to produce the world's most transformative technology companies. What it has lacked is early-stage capital from investors who truly understand the deep tech development cycle.

Founded by Alexander Wilson and a team of experienced investors and operators, the firm has rapidly established itself as a trusted partner for founders working at the frontier of artificial intelligence, robotics, quantum computing, and advanced materials science.

In May 2022, we closed our inaugural $80M Seed Round, backed by Speedinvest and a consortium of Europe's most respected institutional investors. That capital is being deployed into a concentrated portfolio of high-conviction bets on founders who are doing something genuinely hard and genuinely important.

How We Invest

A disciplined, thesis-driven approach to seed-stage deep tech investing across Europe.

Stage: Seed

We invest exclusively at the seed stage — typically leading or co-leading rounds of $1.5M to $6M. We want to be involved from the earliest moments of company formation.

Geography: Europe

We invest across all of Europe, with particular strength in the German-speaking DACH region, the Nordics, the UK, and France. Where the science is, we are there.

Sectors: Deep Tech

Artificial intelligence and machine learning, robotics and automation, quantum computing, biotechnology, advanced materials, and climate technology are our core focus areas.

Portfolio: Concentrated

We maintain a concentrated portfolio of high-conviction positions. We would rather own a significant stake in fifteen exceptional companies than a small position in fifty mediocre ones.

Support: Hands-On

Beyond capital, we provide operational support in talent acquisition, commercial partnerships, follow-on fundraising, and strategic advisory across the full lifecycle of each company.

Horizon: Patient

Deep tech companies take longer to build. Our fund structure reflects this reality, with a ten-year fund life and the flexibility to support companies through extended development timelines.
