What We Look For

We are highly selective. We invest in approximately eight to twelve companies per year, which means we say no to the vast majority of companies we meet. When we say yes, we mean it completely.

Here are the core characteristics we look for in every investment opportunity.

  • Scientific or Technical Differentiation
    The core technology must be genuinely hard to replicate. We look for proprietary research, novel engineering approaches, or unique data assets that create durable competitive advantages.
  • Large, Transformable Markets
    We are looking for companies that can build multi-billion euro businesses. The underlying market must be large enough to support that ambition, or the technology must be capable of creating entirely new markets.
  • Exceptional Founding Teams
    We back people first. We look for founding teams who combine deep technical expertise with the commercial vision and personal resilience to build through the inevitable difficulties of company building.
  • European Provenance
    The company must be headquartered in Europe or founded by European researchers, even if it operates globally. We believe European provenance is a strategic asset, not a limitation.
